| description |
Located amidst an intimate and accessible landscaped area adjacent to the busy Glenrothes town centre, this inviting and intriguing figure sculpture portrays a group of children enacting out their own dream for a united world. The sculpture commemorates and celebrates in a tangible way, 20 years of successful twin town partnership between Glenrothes in Scotland and Boblingen in West Germany. It was therefore with great excitement and anticipation that prior to the reunification of East and West Germany in the Autumn of 1990 that a copy of “The Dream” was presented to people of Boblingen in the summer of that year. |
