This pyramid sculpture acts as a helpful Landmark at the primary pedestrian access point to the Hamilton Bus and Train Interlink. The sculpture features functional clocks and illuminated fibre optic celestial star maps.
In keeping with the symbolism that the pyramid form evokes, a series of inlaid gold leaf hieroglyphic images that explore the themes of time and place are engraved into the polished granite surfaces. References to the millennium night sky, navigational co - ordinates and compass bearings are incorporated within the structure and the surrounding decorative floorscape.
